A total of two divisions will be available. This includes the Newcomer Division and the Legend Division. The first day of the tournament will be dedicated to new players. This division is specific to rookie players, and will have a limited number of participants. The second day will host the tournament for the Legend Division. All players can participate in this division, however some players will take priority over others.

The tournament will function through a standard elimination system. Contestants will participate in one versus one battles, with best two out of three proceeding to the next round. Applications for each division are also currently available through the official tournament website. Additionally, while this Guilty Gear Strive tournament will take place exclusively online, there is currently no indication that participants outside of Japan can apply.

Guilty Gear Strive is immediately available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. A total of five post-launch characters are planned to appear in the game.
