Square Enix announced that the release date for its upcoming smartphone RPG Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the Continent in Japan is October 28, 2020. To commemorate the occasion, the game got its latest trailer. Pre-registration is now live in Japan for iOS and Android.

The game is a single-player RPG that is set in the land of Orsterra, the same place that saw the eight heroes from Octopath Traveler. The game is set several years before the events of the Nintendo Switch game, and it’ll tell a brand-new story revolving around the three conquerors of the land.
The combat features a command battle system with parties consisting of up to eight members. There are three paths to take in the story, each based on the three Conquerors: “Witch of Greed” Helminia, Titus the “Hero,” and Argust the “Playwright.” You can read more about the three big villains here.
