Users that have created an account before December 6, 2020, will be eligible to receive these rewards. Rewards will be delivered through the in-game mail system. Additionally, the main story content will arrive in Conquerors of the Continent sometime in December. Other additions include a new side-story featuring a new town and a series of more difficult quests that provide greater rewards. Similarly to the story content, these features will be added in future updates.

Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the Continent is a prequel to the Nintendo Switch title. This mobile title is a single-player RPG that features the same 2D style as the Octopath Traveler. Shortly before the release of the mobile game, a story trailer was released, introducing one of the main the villains Argust, the Playwright and Conqueror of Glory. In this entry, players will control a party of eight characters in turn-based combat, as opposed to the usual party of four.

Octopath Traveler: Conquerers of the Continent is available on Android and iOS for Japanese audiences. Octopath Traveler is available on the Nintendo Switch for all audiences.
