Octopath Traveler Best Party Explained

There are eight different characters to play and recruit during your time in Octopath Traveler. However, the awkward part of this is you can only have four of them in your active party at any one time. This means you have to carefully pick and choose your best party in Octopath Traveler if you want to do well.

Is there a Best Party in Octopath Traveler?

The fact of the matter is we have eight different protagonists in this one game. They each have their own storylines, starting classes, levels, strengths, and weaknesses. But the fact you can only have four of them in a party at once makes coming up with the best party tough.

In fact, I would say that this is a situation where there is no true best party, in my opinion. Instead, the best party for you is going to be the one you are the most comfortable with and enjoy. This could be because of the characters you like, the classes you have, and so on.

Best Party Recommendations

Though there is no true best party in Octopath Traveler for every single player, there are some solid setups you should consider. If you truly don’t have a preference for which characters and classes to use, these are just a few of the possible party combos you can make when just starting out, which will do well for you if you like them:

  • Olberic, Primrose, Cyrus, and Ophilia
  • H’aanit, Therion, Tressa, and Alfyn
  • Olberic, Cyrus, Tressa, and Ophilia

In the end, though, it is purely up to you. As long as you level them all up and give them solid equipment, any party combination will work in the game. Like, literally, any one so go with what you prefer.

Octopath Traveler is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC.
