As part of the preparation for Octopath Traveler 2, Square Enix started sharing character countdown art. Each day leading up to launch, new images will appear. Each one seems like it will be drawn by a member of the development team. The first two feature Octopath Traveler 2‘s Throne and Partitio, with the original Octopath Traveler‘s Therion making a cameo appearance.
First, here’s the 16 days before launch image. It features art of Octopath Traveler‘s Therion with Octopath Traveler 2‘s Throne. It was created by the team Asano artist Rina Yoshiura, who previously worked on past games. The two were put together as both are the “thieves” in their games.
