The free update will mark the debut of the No Straight Roads Christmas Edition. All of the boss fights will look cosmetically different, with characters in new costumes, different backgrounds in areas. The trailer also makes it seem like there will be all new remixes of the music in the game that adds holiday elements to it. Also, while it is described as a Christmas Edition, it seems like Eve is wearing a Hanukkah-inspired outfit in the video. Mayday and Zuke’s instruments even are holiday-themed. Based on what the PlayStation Blog says, people will be able to choose the Xmas Remix of beaten boss fights in the boss fight menu.

No Straight Roads is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While there’s no exact release date for the No Straight Roads Christmas Edition update, it will be out the first week of December 2020 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version will also get the update, but it doesn’t have a release date yet.
