Nioh 2 received its photo mode today, alongside new missions. However, more importantly the initial DLC expansion has been dated and will be coming this summer. The first Nioh 2 DLC expansion, titled The Tengu’s Disciple, will launch on July 30, 2020. Additionally, Team Ninja currently has plans to release a total of three DLC expansions for the game.
The latest update includes nine new sub-missions for players to engage in, alongside the addition of a photo mode. The photo mode comes packed with filters, lighting and tint adjustments, image exposure, and gradation. So if you’re an aspiring game photographers, here is your opportunity to take some truly stunning photographs in Nioh 2.
Most importantly, Team Ninja has shared information about the upcoming DLCs. Yes, not just one, but three DLC expansions will be released for Nioh 2. There will be new bosses, yokai, Guardian Spirits, new skills, armor, and a new weapon that will alter the performance of skills outside of set stances. In addition to this new difficulty levels and end-game content will be added to the game as well.
The first Nioh 2 DLC, The Tengu’s Disciple, will take players to Yashima. There they will discover the secrets of the Sohayamaru whistle. More information about this upcoming DLC will be revealed in the coming months.
Nioh 2Â is immediately available for PlayStation 4.
