The latest issue of the U.K.’s Edge magazine features an interview with the development team of Super Mario 3D World, and reveals that the team is already working on the next Mario game.

While Nintendo producer Yoshiaki Koizumi wouldn’t reveal whether the game is being developed for Nintendo 3DS or Wii U, he did say that the intent is to “continue to propose new and exciting game mechanics going into the future”.

Meanwhile, co-director and EAD Tokyo team leader Kenta Motokura suggests that the team “might need to make even more use of the [Wii U] GamePad” for a future Wii U Mario title.
