Super NES games that’ll appear in the North American store will be Amazing Hebereke, Super R-Type, and Wrecking Crew ‘98. You can check out the trailer via the Nintendo of America YouTube account here:

Amazing Hebereke came out in 1994 for the Super Famicom. It is a fighting game with a bird’s eye view, letting you fight against up to three other characters in the same match. In a sense, it’s similar to Super Smash Bros, which came out a few years later.

The Japanese Nintendo Switch Online store will have the same line-up. However, people in Japan will also be able to play Battletoads in Battlemaniacs and Marvelous: Mou Hitotsu no Takarajima. Nintendo of America likely could not get these games due to licensing issues. Super R-Type came out in 1991, with Irem developing and publishing it. It is a horizontal scrolling shooter with a rather high difficulty level. Finally, Wrecking Crew ‘98 came out in 1998 on the Nintendo Power. It is an action puzzle game that is similar to Tetris or Puyo Puyo

Nintendo Switch Online is a paid subscription you can sign up for, allowing you to play online and giving access to a massive library of retro games. Previously, Nintendo added games like F-Zero X, Castlevania Legends, and Mother 3

All April 2024 additions are available through Nintendo Switch Online.
