Nintendo Sponsors a Hololive Nintendo World Championships Tournament

Nintendo will sponsor a Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition tournament featuring various Hololive Vtubers. The tournament will be broadcast on July 29, 2024 at 8pm JST, and it will feature livers Usada Pekora, Nekomata Okayu, Inugami Korone, and Himemori Luna as the contestants. Shirakami Fubuki will be the event’s host.

The livestream will appear on the official Hololive YouTube channel. The 4 participants will compete using the Time Attack mode in 10 different rounds carefully selected from the over 150 available challenges in the game. Each player can try each round up to two times, and the fastest of the two times will be used.

In each round, the contestant in first place will receive 4 points, second place will get 3, third place gets 2, and fourth place gets a single point. The Vtuber with the highest point total at the end of the 10 rounds will be the winner of the tournament. The games featured in each round of the competition will be the original Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Balloon Fight, Kirby’s Adventure, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. 2, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Ice Climbers, Metroid, and Super Mario Bros. 3 in order.
