Nintendo Selects Kicks Off In Europe With Mario Strikers Charged And WarioWare

Europe has a slightly different Nintendo Selects line up than North America. Both regions get budget versions of Wii Sports and Animal Crossing. However, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Mario Super Sluggers are absent from the PAL list. WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Mario Strikers Charged Football replace those two titles.

Switching soccer for baseball in Europe makes sense. It appears Nintendo of Europe is trying to empahsize the party nature of the Wii with WarioWare instead of a single player action epic like Twilight Princess.

Another interesting tidbit to note is none of these games are budget titles in Japan. The Everybody’s recommendation selection has similar cover art, but only third party games.
