By Pokémon Bank, the Pokémon cloud service that allows you to store your Pokémon on the Internet, is now up and running in Japan and other Asian territories. This morning, both Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe tweeted reminders that they haven’t forgotten about the service.
Nintendo of America tweeted: “Pokémon Bank has launched in certain Asian countries. Please stay tuned to our social channels for updates on availability in other regions, including North America.”
Meanwhile, Nintendo of Europe said the same thing in more words:
“Hi Pokémon fans, sorry it’s taken until now before we could give you an update on Pokémon Bank. Pokémon Bank & Poké Transporter services have now resumed operation in various Asian territories incl. Japan. We’ll be closely monitoring players’ experiences as we prepare for the European release. Once again we want to apologise for the delay, and thank you for your patience and your interest.”
Pokémon Bank was meant to be released in North America and Europe last year, but its launch was delayed following server troubles across the Nintendo Network and Nintendo eShop. While the service was launched in Japan, it was taken down shortly afterwards and re-launched more recently.
