Nintendo Confirm 25th Anniversary Celebration For The Legend of Zelda Series

At his GDC keynote earlier this morning, Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, made mention of the fact that 2011 represents The Legend of Zelda’s 25th anniversary.

 

Iwata also confirmed that Nintendo managing director (and Zelda creator), Shigeru Miyamoto, is “working on a plan that will allow all Zelda lovers to celebrate together.”

 

Iwata refrained from providing any further details on this front, but did confirm that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D would be available this June. Here’s a batch of new screenshots:
