While we didn’t see anything about NieR in the Square Enix TGS 2020 Online lineup, the series will be there starting with a special program for TGS on September 24, 2020.

The NieR TGS 2020 Special Programming “We Have a Decent Amount of New Info” Special confirmed for September 24, 2020 at 10:00 pm JST. During this broadcast, we’ll learn more about NieR: Replicant V1.22, NieR Reincarnation, and NieR: Automata.
“We’ll deliver a decent amount of new info for the three NieR series titles.”

It’s worth noting that with the program scheduled for 10:00 pm JST on September 24, that actually lands on the second “Coming Soon” teaser slot that Square Enix had for its TGS 2020 Online schedule on September 24, 2020. The first “Coming Soon” slot at 6:00 pm was revealed as a live stream for the recently announced Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote-Sen.
Additionally, Square Enix will host another NieR broadcast on Day 3, September 26, 2020 at 10:00 pm JST. However, this one is called the “NieR Talk With People Involved With Practically No New Info Special” so don’t expect anything too big there.
Lastly, Square Enix still has one more “Coming Soon” slot on Day 4 that has yet to be revealed for September 27, 2020 at 4:00 pm JST.
