The NieR Reincarnation and FFXIV crossover event is officially coming to the global version of the game, according to the game’s latest roadmap. In addition to a new Dressing Room feature that will appear sometime after May 2022, the roadmap also mentions various other new features, crossovers, and main story content.
Square Enix showed a similar roadmap during a live stream celebrating the first anniversary of the game’s Japanese release. During that same live stream, it revealed that an FFXIV crossover event would be heading to NieR Reincarnation sometime after May. Until now, it was unconfirmed whether the crossover event would also appear in global version of the game.
For the most part, the roadmaps are the same. However, the global version will get a new chapter of the Sun and Moon main story in March, which is one month earlier than the Japanese version. Some key new features include monthly-updated Hidden Stories, new weekly arena ranked rewards, new difficulties for event quests and exploration, and costume bonuses. Sometime after May, Square Enix also plans to add a Dressing Room feature. Details are still scarce as to what this new feature will entail.
Finally, the NieR Automata and NieR Replicant crossover events are coming back to NieR Reincarnation in February and March, respectively. The NieR Replicant crossover event previously appeared in September 2021, while the NieR Automata event appeared earlier in July 2021.
NieR Reincarnation is immediately available on iOS and Android devices. The dressing room feature and FFXIV crossover event will appear sometime after May 2022.
