NieR Reincarnation FFXIV Crossover Characters and Date Revealed

FFXIV NieR Reincarnation Crossover

The NieR Reincarnation and FFXIV crossover event will see several new character variants added to the game, along with a special scenario. A NieR Reincarnation livestream revealed what the crossover event will entail. The event will run from May 10, 2022 to June 13, 2022. A total of three characters will be available to obtain, with Hades appearing as an enemy. The crossover event will feature an entirely unique story by Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Main Scenario Writer Natsuko Ishikawa.

The characters that will be available to obtain include the Phantasmal Exile, which is a White Mage version of Rion, the Phantasmal Prisoner, which is a Dark Knight variant of 063y, and the Phantasmal Weapon, which is a Dragoon version of Noelle. Players will also be able to obtain a Moogle alongside character enhancement materials during the event period. A preview of the fight against Hades was shown during the livestream.

In February 2021, Square Enix announced a FFXIV crossover event would appear in the Japanese version of NieR Reincarnation. It was later confirmed that the crossover would appear in the global version of the game. The NieR Reincarnation roadmap revealed that it would appear sometime after May 2022.

NieR Reincarnation is available for Android and iOS devices. Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The FFXIV crossover will appear in the Japanese version of NieR Reincarnation on May 10, 2022. It will appear in the global version of the game at a later date.
