Square Enix announced that the original soundtrack for the NieR Automata Ver1.1a anime adaptation is available now to pre-order from the Japanese Square Enix online store. It costs 2,750 JPY (roughly $20 USD), and it will release on April 26, 2023 in Japan. The album will include 15 new music tracks composed exclusively for the anime and a selection of rearranged tracks from the video game.
In addition, the album includes a booklet with liner notes by composers Keiichi Okabe and Keigo Hozoku of MONACA, alongside producer Kuniyuki Takahashi, and animation director Ryoji Masuyama. All four were in charge of the music.

Formally titled NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, the anime adaptation of the Square Enix and PlatinumGames 2017 title started airing on January 7, 2023. The show experienced a brief hiatus in production due to the ongoing COVID pandemic that lasted from approximately a month. Aniplex announced the return of the anime, with its fourth episode returning on February 18, 2023. It’s since been airing as usual, as well as streaming on Crunchyroll worldwide.
