Next Wuthering Waves Characters Are Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao

Like HoYoVerse, Kuro Game teases new Wuthering Waves characters ahead of their release on social media, and it did that to show Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao ahead of 1.2. Both are expected to debut as the featured characters in the next version, which should appear in August 2024.

First, here’s the Zhezhi Wuthering Waves reveal. She’s going to be an artist, which will likely influence her moveset as a Resonator. No details about her weapon or element were shared. 

Meanwhile, Xiangli Yao seems like a character more accustomed to fighting in Wuthering Waves, as he’s described as the Principal Investigator for Huaxu Academy. However, this is because he’s also a researcher, which could involve heading into the field for explorations.

Before Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao join Wuthering Waves as its newest characters, there’s still one more unit about to appear. Changli will join the game on July 22, 2024. She’s a five-star Fusion character who wields a sword. She’s also tied to Jinhsi, whose banner is live now in-game. Jinhsi is also a five-star character. She wields a broadblade in the game. Her element is Spectro.

Wuthering Waves is available for the PC and mobile devices, and the new characters are expected in the 1.2 update.
