In response to Spencer’s tweet, another fan voiced his agreement, stating that the felt Gears of War 4 “needs to be huge”. Spencer replied: “And I believe we’ve built the right team to achieve that goal, I just want to give them the time.”

Microsoft recently purchased the Gears of War license from Epic Games, and assigned Black Tusk to develop further games in the series. At the time, Spencer revealed that the series has sold 22 million copies thus far.
