Metal character goods maker Koei Manufacturing announced the release of new art display mirrors featuring the artworks of Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano. Pre-orders for the mirrors will close on May 6, 2024, and are available from various Japanese online stores, including Chara-Ani and Kadokawa Store. [Thanks, PR Times!]
The type of mirror is named Hikari Kirie, and they are a type of artwork combining reflective metal sheet cutouts and print patterns etched on the metal. Each one costs 19,800 yen (or approximately $130,) and there are four available. Two of them depict Yoshitaka Amano artwork featuring iconic images from the Final Fantasy series. Namely, the original Super Famicom cover art of Final Fantasy VI depicting Terra piloting a Magitek armor.
The other one is an artwork of Cloud sitting alongside Red XIII from Final Fantasy VII. The remaining two display mirrors feature the original Yoshitaka Amano artwork. One of the pieces is titled “The Secret of Paradise” and features a person standing surrounded by a variety of colorful plants, while the other piece is called “Black Flames” and features a person riding a horse with a building seemingly standing among the clouds.

In other news related to Yoshitaka Amano, a new anime movie based on the artist’s works titled Zan is currently in production, and it will be released as early as 2026.
