New footage and screenshots have released for horror game Remothered: Tormented Fathers, showing the game’s protagonist, Rosemary, fleeing from one her the game’s stalker-like enemies.
The trailer shows some of the in-game locations around the old manor Rosemary is exploring, but focuses on being followed by an older man wearing an apron and nothing else. This old man wields a curved blade, and is more than happy to put it to work on Rosemary if he catches sight of her.
In the trailer, players can see Rosemary throwing objects at the stalker to sidetrack him, avoiding him by staying out of sight and crouching, and also holding doors shut or barricading herself in closets to avoid him. Remothered: Tormented Fathers offers no other means of avoiding its dangerous enemies, so these evasion techniques will be all that will keep Rosemary alive as she tries to complete her investigation into an old missing persons case.
Players will be able to tell that the old man, and other stalker enemies, are coming based on changes to the music, which will hint to their presence. Should one be nearby, players will need to take stock of their health, which will be indicated by their character’s appearance rather than a health bar. Should Rosemary appear weak, players will wish to take extra care to avoid an encounter.
Remothered: Tormented Fathers is raising votes on Steam Greenlight, with its first episode slated to release sometime this year.
