New Super Mario Bros. Hits 6 Million In Japan

New Super Mario Bros. (for Nintendo DS) might not have appeared on last week’s Japanese top-20 sales chart, but it’s been making sales progress in Japan nonetheless.

 

Today, Famitsu reported that the four-year-old game has sold over six million copies in Japan alone. This is according to Enterbrain’s sales tracker. Enterbrain is Famitsu’s parent company.

 

For our weekly sales chart, we refer instead to another tracker, Media-Create. For the sake of comparison, according to last week’s Media-Create numbers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold about 4.1 million units.
