One of the last games to appear during the October 2021 State of Play is a new Star Ocean game. The project’s first trailer appeared during the presentation. While exact details, like a release window, didn’t come up, its name appeared. It is Star Ocean: The Divine Force. People will see it on the PS4 and PS5 in 2022. Update: It will also appear on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
The video began with a crew on a space ship above a planet. As is typical, incidents occur that result in technologically advanced humans winding up on a planet where magic exists. We see the captain of the ship joining up with residents from the planet. They appeared in medieval-like armor.
Here’s the first trailer. In addition to the returning active battles, new exploration elements appear. For example, it seems we’ll have access to a jetpack of sorts. This will allow someone to do some flying around an alien planet.
The last Star Ocean games were Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness for the PS4 and PS5 and Star Ocean: Anamnesis for mobile devices. However, the latter is no longer available. In addition, Star Ocean: First Departure R showed up on the PS4 and Switch in 2019.
The new Star Ocean game is Star Ocean: The Divine Force. It will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.
