The new trailer showed off the combat gameplay in the Silent Hill 2 remake, as James navigates the Wood Side Apartments. The game now features an over-the-shoulder camera angle similar to the Resident Evil remakes. Some of the puzzles from the apartment building are also shown, including the grandfather clock from the original game.

The full trailer can be seen below.

The Silent Hill 2 remake was originally revealed at the Silent Hill Transmission livestream event in October 2022. Bloober Team were announced as the developer. They have previously worked on horror titles such as Layers of Fear and The Medium. Silent Hill veterans Masahiro Ito and Akira Yamaoka are also involved, providing art direction and music composition respectively. The new trailer featured a preview of some of Yamaoka’s work.

Other Silent Hill projects in the works include Silent Hill: Townfall from No Code (Stories Untold, Observation) and Silent Hill f, which will feature a story written by Ryukishi07 (Higurashi When They Cry). Another project, The Short Message, has also been released as a free download title.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is in development for PS5 and PC.
