Square Enix has released more screenshots showcasing the various content players can expect from Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming Patch 3.2, “The Gears of Change.”
First off, we get a look at Sephirot, the Fiend. This new boss fight takes place within the Containment Bay S1T7. Here’s a little more information on Sephirot:
“Sephirot, the Fiend, was a deity once worshipped by a tree-like race native to Meracydia. Brought into being for the sole purpose of repelling the Allagan invasion, Sephirot inflicted ruinous losses upon the imperial army before finally being subdued and imprisoned in the central facility of Azys Lla. And now, millennia later, this immensely powerful entity threatens to awaken, his vengeful dreams disturbed by the careless ambitions of Archbishop Thordan VII. Topple the first pillar of the Warring Triad, or wheresoever his colossal shadow falls shall be visited by unthinkable catastrophe!”
The following screenshots give us a look at the Feast, the new PvP mode coming to the game, as well as the Hall of the Novice, the mentor system, new hairstyles, the Orchestrion, and the airship painting feature.
Lastly, we get a look at the Midan Gear which will be acquired from the new raid, Alexander: Midas. Below that we have the Eikonic Gear, styled after the Primals from the game, which can be obtained with the new Tomestones of Lore.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. Patch 3.2, “The Gears of Change,” will release on February 23rd.
