New information about the Resident Evil 4 remake will appear ahead of the game’s release in March 2023. Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi revealed that Capcom intends to share more information about the remake sometime in the future. In Famitsu’s yearly aspirations column he also stated that the game is in its final stages of development, and that the team is working hard to make it a highly polished product. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
While Hirabayashi didn’t reveal what specifics will be shared, Capcom continued to release bits and pieces of information about the remake. This included updated character biographies and CGI renders for characters important to the story, such as Ashley Graham, Leon S. Kennedy, and Luis Sera.
Additionally, Capcom shared an extended look at gameplay for the Resident Evil 4 remake in October 2022. This included a look at how combat will function in the game, alongside the weapon upgrading system, attaché case, and Leon’s newfound ability to parry Dr. Salvador’s chainsaw. It also provided a first look at how Luis Sera will now appear in the game, while providing a better look at Ashley’s updated character design as well. However, Capcom has yet to show off Jack Krauser, a key antagonist in the game.
Resident Evil 4 remake will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on March 24, 2023.
