Version 2.3 of Honkai: Star Rail will bring with it four new Relics to farm for in Caverns and in Simulated Universe. There will also be a new Crimson Calyx to farm Erudition materials, which you’ll need for Jade.
To start off with, the two new Cavern Relics are:
- Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
2-pc: Increases Break Effect by 16%
4-pc: If the wearer’s Break Effect is 150% or higher, ignores 10% of the enemy target’s DEF when dealing Break DMG to them. When the wearer’s Break Effect is 250% or higher, the Super Break DMG they deal to enemy targets additionally ignores 15% of the target’s DEF. - The Wind-Soaring Valorous
2-pc: Increases ATK by 12%
4-pc: Increases the wearer’s Crit Rate by 6%. After the wearer uses a follow-up attack, increases the DMG dealt by their Ultimate by 36%, lasting for 1 turn.
The Iron Cavalry set will likely be Firefly’s best Set. Those who are farming for her now may want to hold off until Version 2.3 comes out to farm for Iron Cavalry. As for the Valorous set, most follow-up attack characters can use it. This includes Jing Yuan, Himeko, and Dr. Ratio. Whether it’s good for them compared to The Ashblazing Grand Duke may depend on your main stats and sub stats.
You can get the new Planar Ornaments in Divergent Universe: Eternal Comedy rather than the normal Simulated Universe. The Planar Ornaments will be:
- Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern
Increases the wearer’s SPD by 6%. When the wearer hits enemy targets with Fire Weakness, the wearer’s Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn. - Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves
When allies use follow-up attacks, the wearer receives 1 stack of Merit, stacking up to 5 times. Every stack of Merit increases the DMG dealt by the wearer’s follow-up attacks by 5%. When there are 5 stacks, additionally increases the wearer’s Crit DMG by 25%.
Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern is so obviously for Firefly that it’s hard to imagine anyone else except perhaps Gallagher using it. While you only need to hit an enemy with a Fire Weakness to get the bonus, Firefly can plant a Fire Weakness in enemies with her Skill and Technique. As for Duran, it’s great for follow-up attackers as well. In fact, much like how Broken Keel is the go-to Planar Ornament Set for support characters, Duran might become the best general one for follow-up attackers.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Version 2.3 of Honkai: Star Rail will come out on June 19, 2024.
