Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time is the third VR escape room experience by Ubisoft, and is set to debut in over 300 locations. According to Ubisoft, the game takes place during The Sands of Time era, which spanned four games that released between 2003 and 2010.

As you might expect from an escape room game, the goal is to solve the puzzles in (usually) multiple rooms in order to open a path to escape. For Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time, players find themselves in the Fortress of Time, where they will try to stop an evil magi attempting to restore sands into the Hourglass of Time. Said puzzles will include time puzzles, as you’ll need to use the Dagger of Time’s powers to manipulate the thread of time itself.

That said, considering the puzzle-based nature of escape rooms, as well as the VR nature of the game, players probably won’t be asked to platform around the Fortress the same way the Prince does.

Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time will be available at over 300 locations across the globe in Spring 2020.
