New Pokemon Snap Update Will Also Let You Directly Save Photos

New Pokemon Snap Update photos

New Pokemon and places aren’t the only thing showing up in the August 2021 New Pokemon Snap update. The official Japanese Twitter account also confirmed that there will be quality of life adjustments. Some of them will make it easier to complete objectives or hop back into an expedition. Others will make it easier for someone to share the New Pokemon Snap photos they take. [Thanks, Serebii!]

Some of the changes will speed things up for players. For example, when you take pictures and head to the assessment with Professor Mirror, there will be a small icon on the Pokemon’s thumbnail to let you know you completed a LenTalk Mission. Or, if you want, you can skip his assessment entirely. Then, when you decide if you want to go through an area again, you can choose the Research Level right away.

As for the photos, the New Pokemon Snap update will make it quicker to get them onto your Switch. When you’re going through editing, there will be a new icon showing an arrow pointing at your Switch. Selecting that will automatically save that picture to your screenshots, to make it easier to send to a phone or share on social media.

New Pokemon Snap is available for the Nintendo Switch, and the update that adds new Pokemon and photo options will arrive on August 3, 2021.
