New PlayStation 3D Display Allows Two Players To See Separate Images [Update]

Sony revealed a new piece of PlayStation-branded hardware at their ongoing E3 2011 media briefing — a special 3D display, capable of both high-definition and 3D display. The display has a unique feature by which two players playing on the same display will be able to see two entirely separate images, instead of having to view a split screen display.

The new 3D display will require the use of special 3D glasses. Sony plan to sell the 24″ display, the glasses, a 6″ HDMI cable and Resistance 3 in a special bundle for $499 this year.
