New Neon Genesis Evangelion Tamagotchi Are on the Way

A new series of Neon Genesis Evangelion Tamagotchi are on the way. Unlike previously released Neon Genesis Evangelion models, this new line will allow consumers to raise the EVA pilots. Kaworu Nagisa, Mari Makinari, and Rei Ayanami are part of this new series with each Tamagotchi costing ¥2,530 or approximately $23. Each of these models come with a distinct design to match the pilot in the Tamagotchi. This includes the color of the model, along with other design elements that bring everything together. However, these models function similarly to the Angel Neon Genesis Evangelion Tamagotchi. Consumers will need to care for their Tamagotchi, or an A.T. Field will form around the pilot. Production on Evangelion 3.0+1.0 recently wrapped up. Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, the fourth Rebuild of Evangelion movie also known as Shin Evangelion, was postponed due to concerns regarding COVID-19. However, the film is finally scheduled to release on January 23, 2021.

Neon Genesis Evangelion originally began its run in Japan in October 1995. Evangelion: Death (True)2, the edit of 1997’s Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, appeared in 1998. The End of Evangelion appeared in 1997. Evangelion 3.0+1.0, also known as Shin Evangelion, will release on January 23, 2021 in Japan. The Evangelion Tamagotchi models will launch on January 16, 2021.
