While we’re not sure whether the new anime project will be an anime series or a feature film(s), we’ll likely hear more from an official announcement in the near future. The main character designs are done by series creator Rumiko Takahashi. Kaoru Wada will also return to work on the music for the project. So far we know that the anime project is set in the same universe. The story will focus on Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s daughters.
The Inuyasha manga ran from November 1996 to June 2008 on Weekly Shonen Sunday. The series had two anime TV series produced by Sunrise. The original anime series featuring 167 episodes ran from October 2000 to September 2004. It concluded with 26 episodes of Inuyasha: The Final Act from October 2009 to March 2010.
Lastly, for the real question—Who is the mother of Sesshomaru’s daughter?
