New Honkai: Star Rail Character Topaz Revealed at TGS 2023

HoYoVerse’s 2023 Tokyo Game Show trailer for Honkai: Star Rail revealed the new character Topaz. She’s expected to join the game’s roster following the 1.4 update. That will appear after the Fu Xuan banner ends on October 10, 2023. The Japanese social media account also shared official art of the Interastral Peace Corporation member, which confirmed she is a five-star unit accompanied by a Warp Trotter named Numby.

First, here’s the official splash art for Topaz and Numby. It confirms that she is a five-star unit who uses fire-based attacks. It also revealed she follows the Hunt past, which means she should be a focused DPS who focuses on single targets. The tweet also noted her Japanese voice actress is Yoshino Nanjo, who previously played Krile in FFXIV, Kiria in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, and Eli in the Love Live series.

As for the new TGS 2023 trailer, the new Honkai: Star Rail character appears at the 1:25 mark. She appears flipping a coin and saying, “Belobog… 700 years… It’s never too late to pick up the tab.”

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PC and mobile devices, with the PS4 version launching on October 11, 2023. That’s also when 1.4 is expected to appear, with Topaz being one of the two new five-star characters joining the game following that version update.
