New Hakuouki OVA Currently in Production

A new Hakuouki OVA is currently in production. To coincide with the announcement of this new anime adaptation, a key visual has been released. More information regarding the Hakuouki OVA will be revealed at a later date. This includes information about key members of the voice cast. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Additionally, an official Twitter account and website are now available. One of the few pieces of information revealed about the upcoming animated adaptation is a new character. Sakai Hyogo is a new character that will appear in the upcoming adaptation. Similarly to the other major characters in Hakuouki, this character is based off of a real member of the Shinsengumi. A piece of character artwork for this character was revealed alongside the key visual for the upcoming OVA.

In April 2021 an official website for Hakuouki: Shinkai Reimeiroku opened. Hakuouki: Shinkai Reimeiroku is a Nintendo Switch port of Hakuouki Reimeiroku which originally release for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. A total of three special drama CDs are available to obtain through the limited edition version of the port.

A new Hakuouki OVA is currently in production. More information such as a release date and case details will be revealed in the future.
