This week, Square Enix announced that Gunslinger Stratos is coming to consoles and PC as a new game.
To be specific, last year in August it was announced that a new Gunslinger Stratos was in development at an event. However, it wasn’t until the Producer Letter released this week where it was clarified that it was coming to consoles and PC.
Producer Nobuki Kadoi explained that the new game was coming to consoles and PC instead of arcades in order to gain a wider audience globally. This suggests that the new game has a healthy chance of an overseas release. More information on the new game is expected to release in 2020.
Furthermore, Kadoi is resigning from Square Enix at the end of 2020, and the new Producer of the series is Makoto Ono. Previous game projects Kadoi was involved in include two Valkyrie Profile games, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Star Ocean: First Departure, all in the management side.
