New English Dub Announced for Amazon Prime Evangelion Films

The three Rebuild of Evangelion films have, according to Japan’s Amazon Prime Video, some new members in their English dub cast. For example, Ritsuko’s voice actress was originally Colleen Clinkenbeard, and now Mary Faber is credited. Currently, there is only the Japanese version, as well as Japanese subtitles, available on Amazon Prime Video if you are in Japan. [Thanks, Anime News Network and EvaMonkey!]

The full cast, including the additional voice cast, for the new English dub and the old English dub are available on sites such as Amazon. Aside from Clinkenbeard, Caitlin Glass (who voices Ibuki) does not appear in the new list. Neither does Brina Palencia. Palencia voiced Rei Ayanami before, and now Amanda Winn Lee voices her.

Below is a list of the new English dub for the first three Rebuild of Evangelion films (1.11, 2.22, and 3.33) on Amazon Prime Video in Japan. Underlined names are new.

  • The first three Neon Genesis Evangelion films are streaming on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries. Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0+1.0 will stream worldwide on Amazon Prime Video from August 13, 2021. The English cast will consist of actors and actresses both new and old.
