Following the announcement in January, Toei shared a first look at the new Digimon Adventure anime with an official trailer.
Check out the new trailer below:
Toei describes Digimon Adventure: as a completely new animated show. It will depict a “new” adventure only envisioned in modern times, where the Digital World and real world are closer to each other than ever. While Digimon Adventure: is a new adventure, it will feature the DigiDestined and their Digimon partners that you’re familiar with. So basically, it’s more of a reboot and not a remake.
We still don’t know much about the story of Digimon Adventure: but I’d imagine Toei will have more to share ahead of its premiere next month. For what it’s worth, the English-subbed trailer released around the same time as the Japanese one.
Digimon Adventure: will begin airing in April 2020. Check out the first key visual for the TV anime series in our previous report. The original Digimon Adventure anime first aired in Japan in March 1999. The English version debuted in August 1999. If you’re feeling extra nostalgic, check out the “Welcome to Digimon World” trailer that looks back at past games and products from the Digimon series.
