New Black Wii Super Mario Bundle Cuts Gamecube Support In U.S. As Well

Nintendo of America will be releasing a special Wii bundle later this month. The new holiday bundle will contain with a black Wii, a black Wii Remote Plus, black Nunchuk, a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and a special Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD.

The bundle will go on sale on October 23rd in the U.S., and will cost $149.99. Oh, and in case you were wondering; yes, this is the new Wii model without Gamecube support.

Nintendo of America also plan to continue selling the standard Mario Kart Wii bundle, which contains either a regular black or white Wii with Mario Kart Wii and matching controllers. This bundle costs $149.99 as well.

Note: A previous report mistakenly stated that the new Wii models lack Wi-Fi functionality. This was an error on our part, and we apologize for the confusion.
