A new Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 trailer has been released, and with it come exciting new visuals. We see Shinji, Rei, and Asuka along with some of the iconic EVA designs in this latest teaser. While this trailer is sure to entice those looking forward to the eventual theatrical release of the film, no new date has been announced or set. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

In April, it was announced that the theatrical release Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 would be delayed. This was due to concerns regarding COVID-19. In addition to this, it was mentioned that once a new release date was decided, it would be announced through the official Evangelion website and via SNS. Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 was slated to release on June 27, 2020. Despite the release of this Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 trailer, the news portion of the official Evangelion website has not been updated.

Neon Genesis Evangelion originally began its run in Japan in October 1995. Evangelion: Death (True)2, the edit of 1997’s Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, appeared in 1998. The End of Evangelion appeared in 1997. The Rebuild of Evangelion films, which offer a different take on the story, began airing in Japan in 2007 with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) AloneEvangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appeared in 2009 and 2012.

Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 currently has no release date and has been delayed multiple times. It originally had a 2016 release window.
