Neon Age RPG Megamagic Goes Full ‘80s Action Cartoon In New Trailer

BeautiFun Games has launched the Kickstarter for its upcoming RPG Megamagic: Wizards of the Neon Age. With it comes a new trailer that evokes the action cartoons of the ‘80s and ‘90s (with music from Mitch Murder who worked on Kung Fury and Hotline Miami 2) that should bring back some memories.

Megamagic has you playing as Phoban and Deimon as they protect their wispy friend Fum. Due to being the ingredient to the most powerful spell that would ever be created, Fum is highly sought after by a range of enemies, and so you’ll have your work cut out defending him.

Luckily, during this alternate Neon Age, Phoban and Deimon possess magical powers. You’ll be able to have them learn new spells and summon monsters to aid in the real-time battles and puzzle solving. Also, one of the main features of Megamagic is being able to choose your own palette of spells and summons to suit each battle.

BeautiFun Games is hoping to raise $20,000 to finish developing Megamagic around March 2016. You can get a copy of the game on Windows, Mac, and Linux for $15.
