Natsume Bringing Shadow of the Ninja To Virtual Console

Natsume are bringing NES side-scroller Shadow of the Ninja to the 3DS and Wii U Virtual Consoles in North America this week. The game will be available tomorrow, January 29th.

Shadow of the Ninja is another original Natsume production. It was released in 1990 and lets two players play together, each taking control of a different ninja character. Your default weapon is a katana, although you can trade it for a kusarigama, which has longer range.

Players can also acquire shurikens and grenades throughout the game’s 16 stages. Oh, and defeating a boss makes them explode, which heals you if you’re close enough.
