KOG Games has rolled out Season 2 of Elsword with new English voices by Cristina Vee (Bleach, Sword Art Online) and Nicolas Roye (Naruto, Digimon) who play Rena and Elsword respectively. The studio is also auditioning for the voices of the other characters in Elsword at the moment so expect more on the way.

Aside from that, Season 2 brings a complete renovation to Elsword and Rena – including their appearance, attack animations, balance, and controls.

Skill trees have been streamlined as skills are sorted according to level requirements and you can now choose two Traits for each active skill. Skills for lesser-used characters and jobs have also been rebalanced so that they feel more powerful. The less popular attack commands have also been updated so they’re easier to access and “offer a whole new play style.”

With Season 2 bringing all these changes, KOG Games is looking to test them out with a hardcore PvP tournament being held on Friday, December 18th 2015 with 32 teams of two players fighting against each other with only one Rena and one Elsword per team. The final matches will be livestreamed on Saturday, December 19th 2015 on the Elsword Twitch channel.

There are also freebies and giveaways. Log into the game as either Elsword or Rena, wait 10 minutes, and you’ll get a free cube gift that gives out loot every 10 levels you progress. Plus, all players who logon between December 16th and December 31st 2015 will be entered into a sweepstakes – “93 winners will be chosen to win cool IRL Elsword swag: mousepads, tote bags, lanyards, Notepads and more. Including the K-Ching giveaway, there will be 2,315 winners total,” writes KOG Games.

Finally, there are holiday events going on in Elsword that reward you doing quests or hanging around town. It’s possible to earn snowflakes that give you items, accessories, and costumes when traded with Ariel. Plus, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day you’ll be able to get presents that contain Ice Burners and Fossil Readers.
