New Images of the Mythical Pokemon Zarude Have Surfaced

Mythical Pokemon Zarude Sword Shield

More images of the new Mythical Pokemon Zarude have surfaced. Previously, this Pokemon was shown off briefly in late February 2020 as part of the Pokemon Day celebration. The Pokemon Company has released the full details for distribution regarding this Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Similar to the release of other Mythical Pokemon, Zarude and Shiny Celebi will be distributed to Japanese audiences with advanced ticket purchases for the latest Pokemon film. By preordering tickets to Pokemon the Movie: Coco you will be eligible to receive both Pokemon. So if you’re in Japan and want to grab Shiny Celebi and Zarude, now is your chance! However, if you do happen to have tickets, and the codes for the Pokemon that accompany them, you can redeem Shiny Celebi on April 17, 2020 and Zarude on June 15, 2020.

There has currently been no word regarding international distribution for these two Pokemon.

Zarude, known as Zaruudo in Japan, is a dark and grass type monkey with the Leaf Guard ability. In addition to the movie debut, the Rogue Monkey Pokemon will also appear in Pokemon Sword and Shield. You can check out the full gallery of the new images of Shiny Celebi and Zarude below.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. Pokemon the Movie: Coco will appear in Japan starting on July 10, 2020.
