Originally released on the PS3, then later on PCs, Mugen Souls is an anime-style, turn-based JRPG with extensive character customization. It was developed Idea Factory and Compile Heart, companies that also make the Hyperdimension Neptunia games. Eastasiasoft’s Nintendo Switch Port was originally announced back in November 2022 and will feature “content true to the original Japanese release.” This will include DLC and content previously censored in western versions of the game.
Mugen Souls will be the latest game from Eastasiasoft’s 2023 Showcase to be released, with several more games including a Switch port of Rainbow Skies expected for later this year. Eastasiasoft has also ported other Compile Heart games, including Seven Pirates H last year and Moero Crystal H in 2020.
Mugen Souls will release on Nintendo Switch on April 27th. It is immediately available on PC and PS3.
