Wii

Motion controlled Marvel superheroes

Activision already shipped out Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the PS2, Xbox 360 and pretty much every other console on the market. With the Wii and PS3 looming there is a new version of the same game that adds in a motion based fighting system. From the clip of people playing the Wii version it looks like you mimic actions like uppercuts and Ghost Rider’s chains by swinging the controller. Particularly interesting is Storm’s control set up where the player is mimicking Storm’s poses to summon lightning blasts from the sky. She is likely over emphasizing the movements, but the mechanics for Marvel Ultimate Alliance Wii certainly appear to be similar to the on screen characters. Here’s the real question do you actually want to a play a game where you are pretending to be Storm or Captain America and punching at the TV screen or does Marvel Ultimate Alliance work better with the a gamepad?
