Mother Russia Bleeds was announced for PlayStation 4 and PC during Sony’s E3 press conference by publisher Devolver Digital. It should be out in 2016.
It’s an ultra violent beat ‘em up that supports up to four players in online and local multiplayer. It’s set in an alternate U.S.S.R and follows an imprisoned, drug-addicted antihero as he breaks free and “barrels down a journey of hate-filled vengeance.” The game’s pixel art is meant to harken back to the golden age of arcade brawlers but brings in new psychedelic touches and ramps up the violence.
The studio behind Mother Russia Bleeds is Le Cartel and its goal is to “deliver an experience that will help revitalize one of the most cherished gaming genres with a meticulously crafted and challenging beat ‘em up of our own, one that abounds with new twists and surprises.”
