There’s more news from the Hobonichi Mother Project, revealed via the official Twitter account. The bad news is, it doesn’t involve a new game. The good news is, it does involve series-related merchandise that people could enjoy regardless of what language they speak. The next round of items from series creator Shigesato Itoi are practical items you can use everyday: Mother logo shirts and a bag. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Both the Mother series shirts and Mr. Saturn bag are made from cotton. They will also all be available through the official site on June 12, 2020, the same day the Pollyanna “Mother” Official Comic tribute manga will be released. (The Mother tote bag’s product description even notes that it is the perfect size to carry the book.)
The Mother logo shirts are based on Itoi’s +Love T shirts. (As Starmen.net pointed out, this line original had limited edition Mother 3 shirts.) You could get the shirt in black, red, or white for 4,950円 (~$46).
As for the bag, it is beige with a red square on the front that has a pixelated Mr. Saturn outline. It will cost 660円 (~$6).
The Mother shirts, bag, and Pollyanna “Mother” Official Comic will all be available in Japan starting on June 12, 2020.
