BanG Dream! Girls Band Party, Bushiroad’s mobile rhythm game, has just gotten a little more crowded thanks to the addition of Morfonica, the game’s newest band. Announcing the addition during the Bang Dream! Girls Band Party @HHW CiRCLE Pre-3rd Anniversary Special livestream, Bushiroad revealed information about the new five-member, all-girl band.
In the game’s story, Morfonica is a “Violin Rock Band” made up of freshman students from the Tsukinomori Girls High School, a prestigious secondary school for high-class students.
Its five members, visible from left-to-right in the above picture, are:
- Rui Yashio (Violin)
- Nanami Hiromachi (Bass)
- Mashiro Kurata (Vocals)
- Tsukushi Futaba (Drums)
- Touko Kirigaya (Guitar)
Bushiroad released an animated music video of the band’s first song, “Daylight”:
Further, Morfonica will also be the game’s next “Live Action” band. This means that the band’s voice actresses will perform in person at concerts, playing their respective instruments. Bushiroad also put out a commercial featuring live-action footage of voice actresses Ayasa (playing Rui), Yuuka Nishio (playing Nanami), Amane Shindou (playing Mashiro), mika (playing Tsukushi) and Hina Suguta (playing Touko):
Other Live Action bands from BanG Dream! Girls Band Party include both Poppin’ Party and Roselia from the core roster and RAISE A SUILEN. The latter was added to the franchise in 2018 and is made up of members from “The Third,” a backup band that played instrumentals for BanG Dream performances where the voice actresses were unable to play the instruments.
BanG Dream! Girls Band Party is available on Apple iOS and Android devices and will celebrate its third anniversary on March 16, 2020. The company is also planning a 2020 release for an all-male spin-off game, Argonavis from BanG Dream! AAside.
