Moon Diver Creator: “It’s A Good Game To Die!!!”

Recommended Videos

Part 2 of Seyfert’s “interview” with Moon Diver creator, Kouichi Yotsui, is even more bizarre than part 1 was, but informative at the same time. Seyfert asks Yotsui who his favourite character in the game is.

“I favor characters with stationary jump trajectories so I can perform aerial attacks to take out enemies within reach,” Yotsui tells him. “But I do realize the trend is to get as much movement as possible while in the air. The great thing about this game is that the players are able to select characters based on the controls they’re comfortable with.”

This means that the various characters in Moon Diver will control differently, which is something we didn’t know about up until now. Yotsui also threw in an insult: “In conclusion, no one cares how good-looking you are, Seyfert. Looks just don’t matter.”

Before closing out the “interview,” Seyfert asked Yotsui if he had a message for his fans, to which the designer replied:

“I want everyone to invite their friends and just have fun with the co-op mode. But the single-player mode is serious business. I have no intention of letting anyone escape with their lives. "It’s a good game to die!!!"”

Incidentally, Moon Diver has a release date now. The AQ Interactive-developed game is being published by Square Enix on March 29th in the U.S. on the PlayStation Network. A release date for Xbox Live Arcade and PAL territories has yet to be announced.
