The previous Developer Diary focused more on Stygian Zinogre, but Capcom wanted to do another one to focusing more on  Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s Xeno’jiiva. That is the mature form of Xeno’jiiva. The monster is currently available to fight in a Recon Assignment where the objective is to repel the “mysterious monster. This serves as a tune-up or tutorial for the real fight, as players will get to slay it in the actual Siege.

The Xeno’jiiva Mature Form Siege arrives to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne starting December 13, 2019. Players will get to work with other Hunters in the Gathering Hub to slay the beast for the limited-time quest. The requirements for both Recon Assignment and Siege is Master Rank 24 and above.

The mature form of Xeno’jiiva makes a nest in a locale that has multiple levels. Each of these levels contains energy deposits, which Xeno’jiiva can absorb. When its health gets low, that’s when it’ll start to absorb the level’s energy to heal itself. After it runs out of energy deposits, it goes to a lower level where you can then slay it.

You can acquire materials from the Siege to forge Hunter armor and Palico equipment. Check them out below:

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.  It releases for PC via Steam on January 9, 2020. Check our previous report for the latest patch notes.
